English-as-a-Second Language
NDSU offers a full program of intensive English language study for non-native speakers. The course offerings address all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. All courses focus on developing the academic language and skills necessary for success at NDSU. Students may enroll full-time or part-time.

Summer Intensive English (ESL) Program
An intensive 10-week program of English-as-a-second-language, 3 June - 9 August 2013. Appropriate for both undergraduate and graduate students, the program focuses on preparing students for the academic language demands of the university. Three courses are offered: speaking/listening, reading/vocabulary building, and grammar/writing. Each course will meet for an hour and 35 minutes M-Th. Students may enroll in one, two or all three courses for a total of one and a half, three or four and a half hours of class per day. Local and regional cultural excursions will be scheduled on Fridays.
