English-as-a-Second Language 
Intensive English Language Program (IELP)

 

 NDSU offers a full program of intensive English language study for non-native speakers.  The course offerings address all four language skills:  listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  All courses focus on developing the academic language and skills necessary for success at NDSU.  Students may enroll full-time or part-time.

Summer Intensive English Language Program (IELP)

 

 An intensive 10-week program of English-as-a-second-language, 3 June - 8 August 2014.  Appropriate for both undergraduate and graduate students, the program focuses on preparing students for the academic language demands of the university.  Four courses are offered:  speaking/listening, reading/vocabulary building, grammar, and writing.  Each course will meet for an hour and 30 minutes Monday-Thursday.  Students may enroll in one, two, three, or four courses for a total of one and a half, three, four and a half, or six hours of class per day.  Local and regional cultural excursions will be scheduled on Fridays.
