This year, Kujenga will be held Sunday - Tuesday, January 3 - 5, 2010. It will be held at Camp Castaway near Detroit Lakes. Registration ends December 26th!! First 30 students to register receive a free t-shirt.
Welcome to Kujenga-NDSU's cool winter diversity retreat! "Kujenga", meaning "to build", is a three day retreat that takes place at a beautiful conference center in the middle of Detroit Lakes. Each year, Kujenga is held right after December finals.
While at the retreat, participants share their favorite ethnic dishes (students are reimbursed for costs), learn and celebrate different cultures, enjoy different games from around the world, enjoy three presentations on topics such as "Leading in a predominantly white culture" or "How to increase your leadership effectiveness".
The retreat is a great time to meet new friends, enjoy a beautiful conference center where you can relax, play some basketball, learn how to play games indigenous to other cultures, and of course learn how you can better your ability to lead in a diverse world.
