Welcome to Fraternity & Sorority Life at NDSU
Fraternity & Sorority life has been a part of this campus since 1913 and we at NDSU are very proud of our 15 national sororities and fraternities.
Joining a fraternity or sorority at NDSU is an opportunity that will benefit you throughout your life. The variety of skills that you learn within a chapter, along with the friendships and professional contacts that you make will work hand in hand with the knowledge you gain within your academic field to develop you into a valuable professional.
Each fraternity and sorority at NDSU has it's own unique characteristics such as their history, philanthropic charity, and rituals. However, they are very similar based on their founding values of leadership, scholarship, service, and friendship. This allows you as a member to not only be proud of the organization within which you are a member, but also to build friendships and pride throughout the entire Greek community at NDSU.
Last year, the 15 fraternities and sororities at NDSU raised nearly $100,000 and served over 5,500 hours to local and national charities, something that each chapter and individual member prides themselves on working together to accomplish. Many of the 600 students that are members of fraternities and sororities had no intention of joining a chapter when they came to NDSU. However, once they learned more about the values of their organization and what it meant to be a member of a fraternity or sorority, they couldn't turn down the opportunity to be a part of something great!
