Welcome to NDSU Leadership Development home page! The Student Activities Office creates educationally purposeful experiences for students that promote leadership, involvement, and success. Through partnerships, programs and activities students receive intentional training and skill development to prepare them for the real world. The intention is to offer students a framework for making strategic decisions in an effective and efficient manner.
All of the Memorial Union Leadership programs are based on leadership and developmental theories that are consistent with the learning outcomes we have set for each of our programs. We believe that students learn in and outside of the classroom, and that by providing them with applicable leadership opportunities, we will increase their academic and future success. Some theories that we currently use to create our leadership programs include those studied by David Kolb, John Dewey, Carl Rogers, Kathy Allen, Paul Hersey, Ken Blanchard, Helen Aster and many others. If you have any questions or comments about other theories you are interested in, please contact us!
We are excited to offer NDSU students a number of outstanding leadership programs for all skill levels and backgrounds! If you wish to be involved with the planning and implementation process for any of the programs, email Amy.Graff@ndsu.edu or call (701) 231-7799 for more information.
