How can the Multicultural Student Services Department help you?

 

 

  • Multicultural Student Study Lounge:

The Multicultural Student Services Department features a student study lounge where students are free to come and study, eat their lunch, have meetings, and socialize. There are also computers and a printer for students to use. In order to conserve resources students are limited to five pages of printer paper per day, please ask at the desk in Memorial Union 178.

The lounge is located in Memorial Union 178.

Study Lounge Hours:
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.

 

  • Laptop Loan:

Students who are in need of a laptop can borrow one from Multicultural Student Services. The laptops can be borrowed for a maximum of one week at a time. This is to ensure that as many students as possible are able to utilize this resource. Contact our office to reserve a laptop or for further information.
These laptops are provided through grants from Cargill and 3M
.

 

  • Copies and Faxes:

Students who need to make copies, within a reasonable amount, or fax information related to school or work can utilize the copy and fax machine through the Multicultural Student Services Office. Come by the office and ask a member of our staff to assist you.

 

  • Financial Aid and Scholarships:

Our office advises students interested in applying for the Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver. Our staff provides support for current recipients. Multicultural Student Services also provides information on the following scholarships:

• American Indian Education Foundation Scholarship Program •
• Helen Bergstrom Ernst Scholarship Fund •
• Higher Education Resource Organization for Students (H.E.R.O.S.) •
• North Dakota Indian Education Association Scholarship •
• Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe Higher Education Program•
• Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Scholarship Program •
• White Earth Scholarship Program •

 

  • Admission Process:

While applications for admission to most programs at NDSU can be submitted as late as one month prior to the beginning of each semester, the early filing of the admission application is especially important if you can applying for financial aid and housing. If you are interested in starting at NDSU for Fall Semester, we strongly recommend applying for admission as early as January. Application forms can be obtained from the Office of Admission.
