10. Morrill Hall
As a Land Grant Institution, NDSU named this building after Justin Morrill, author of the Morrill Act. Passed in 1862, the bill authorized the establishment of state institutions to serve and educate their general public. Originally North Dakota Agriculture College, NDSU has grown to include research and teaching in arts and social sciences, engineering and architecture, sciences, business, human development and education. Morrill Hall houses the College of Agriculture and College of University Studies, as well as offices for the NDSU Extension Service and Experiment Station. Classes meet on the first floor.
