February 2007 Minutes

Hello everyone,

 

These are the minutes for the February meeting.

 

Scott took care of the introductions and old business while Erin was absent.  There was a discussion about the new members’ applications, the benefits and perks of being part of the SHRA organization and our affiliation with SHRM.

 

On the note of old business we were unable to gain another member for the HR games so that will be a no go for this year.  We also talked about doing work toward our merit award and doing the resume booklet.

 

Our guest speaker was Jason McKeever of Eide Baily and the topic was “Diversity in the Workforce.”  Jason gave a great presentation and I believe I speak for the entire group when I say that much knowledge on the subject of diversification was gained.  We appreciate Jason for coming and speaking with our group. 

 

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 6^th at NDSU and our speaker will be Theresa Lewis of Eide Bailey.  Thanks to everyone for making the meeting a success and look forward to seeing you all on the 6^th.
