2007-Distinguished Educator, Blue Key National Honor Society
Dr. Thomas Ambrosio, Associate Professor, Political Science
The Blue Key Honor Society of NDSU has chosen Thomas Ambrosio, associate professor of criminal justice and political science, as the recipient of its annual Distinguished Educator Award. The announcement came Nov. 1.
The Blue Key Distinguished Educator Award was created in 1969 to honor an outstanding NDSU educator for their extra interest in students, education, field of expertise and the university. The educator must show outstanding qualities, especially in helping students above and beyond what is required.
Ambrosio was chosen as the Distinguished Educator for the dedication and care he shows his students. “Dr. Ambrosio has equipped me with the skills that will be required of me in my profession and has done so in a fashion that made me feel like I was in control of my education,” says Oladotun Obadina, one of Ambrosio’s students. “It is rare that students come across professors like Dr. Ambrosio that care so greatly about your success and by doing so has greatly improved my experience here at NDSU.”
A traveling trophy will be presented to Ambrosio at a banquet scheduled for Dec. 6.
