Submit the Scholarship Application form or the linked form specified for the particular scholarship for which application is made. Read carefully through the selection criteria of each scholarship. The dollar amounts listed are projected and are subject to change. Prepare a separate application form for each scholarship. Be sure to check the permission statement on the last page of the form which allows the Scholarship Committee to obtain a current copy of your transcript from the Registrar's Office at North Dakota State University. Completed application forms are due Friday, January 26th, 2007, EML 255 by 5:00 p.m. YOU MUST BE ENROLLED FULL-TIME IN THE COLLEGE OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION AT THE TIME OF DISBURSEMENT.

- JENNIFER BATES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Two scholarships of $200 will be awarded to graduate students who are North Dakota residents preparing for a career in guidance and counseling. Selection is based upon evidence of commitment, academic accomplishment and need for assistance. At the time of award disbursement, recipients must be full-time graduate students taking: nine credits and no assistantship; or six credits with a ten hours/week assistantship; or four credits with a 20 hours/week assistantship or registered for Thesis, Research, or Practicum/Internship credits. - GRACE E. BAYLISS GOLD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to an outstanding graduate student majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, Facility and Hospitality Management; Child Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
- BBN AND MH SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a candidate for the doctorate program in Human Development: Applied Gerontology Option or a graduate student earning a Master of Science degree in Public Health or Nutrition Science. Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) as recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of The American Dietetic Association (ADA). The applicant must be born in North Dakota, the USA, or Canada, respectively. For doctoral students, preference will be given to applicants working on their dissertation. Recipients are eligible to reapply. There is no limit to the number of times a person can receive the scholarship.
- CHRISTINE FINLAYSON MEMORIAL GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $675 will be awarded to a current or former Family and Consumer Science teacher who intends to continue education at NDSU which may lead to a Master's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Preference given to applicants who: have taught successfully for at least one year; have an undergraduate degree with a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education; and meet admission requirements to the graduate school. If no Master's Degree candidate quailifies, the scholarship may be awarded to a post-baccalaureate student in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
- RUTH E. HANSON MEMORIAL GRADUATE EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $235 will be awarded to an older-than-average graduate student in Education.
- VIOLA LARSEN JORDHEIM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $240 will be awarded to a senior or graduate student for continued study in Apparel, Design, Facility and Hospitality Management; Child Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education at NDSU. The award is based on academic performance, leadership, character, and potential for professional promise in the field of Human Development and Education.
- DR. EVELYN MORROW LEBEDEFF AND JAMES LEBEDEFF NEVER STOP LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $1700 will be awarded to a student that is a candidate for the doctorate program in Human Development. Preference will be given to the applicant who is working on his/her dissertation. Recipients are eligible to reapply. There is no limit to the number of times a person can receive the scholarship. This scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with other HD&E scholarships. The acceptance of external scholarship/funding and assistantships does not disqualify applicants for this award. - MIDWEST DAIRY COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a junior, non-graduating senior, or graduate student majoring in Dietetics, Family and Consumer Sciences Education or Education. Selection criteria: a minimum 2.75 GPA and leadership potential. Must plan to attend NDSU during the 2007-2008 academic year. Use the Midwest Dairy Council Scholarship application form.
- MAVIS NYMON FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE STUDY SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $200 will be awarded to a graduate student majoring in HNES/Nutrition Option. Selection will be based on character, scholarship, and need. Applicant must demonstrate promise in the field of food and nutrition.
- JOHN J. TEIGLAND COUNSELOR EDUCATION RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $200 will be awarded to a graduate student majoring in Counselor Education. Use the John J. Teigland Scholarship application form.
