AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES


Description: This is an organization serving all professionals in family and consumer sciences and related areas. At the national level, the organization develops public policies and programs that promote the well being of families and individuals by focusing on issues that affect our society today. Locally, the student organization focuses on similar issues in order to better understand the broad scope of the profession.

Benefits: Network with others interested in the well being of families and individuals. Develop leadership skills. Learn more about family and consumer science profession and increase scholarship opportunities at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Activities: Conduct monthly meetings and programs, participate in campus related activities, fundraising for scholarships and state meetings, attend state and national conventions.
