AMERICAN SOCIETY OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS
Description: ASID is a professional organization founded on the belief that a group of designers can make a difference in their profession and their environment. The organization has an impact on the professional challenges inherent in the practice of design, and influences issues in education, legislation and professional ethics. It is the largest organization of interior designers in the world. ASID's student membership provides a bridge between educational and practical knowledge.
Benefits: ASID offers national award programs, scholarships and grants, official competition standards, and industry and market programs. Members learn and interact with other students and professionals.
Activities: Monthly meetings, informative programs, fundraising projects, field trips, community service projects and regional and national conferences.
