"Programs that focus on people"

STUDENT ADVISOR PROGRAM

Description: The Student Advisor Program has been in operation since September 1976. It is designed to supplement and complement the new academic advisors as well as the existing faculty advisor system. Selected sophomores, juniors and seniors assist underclassmen by helping them feel more comfortable about course selection and knowledgeable about the College of Human Development and Education. Student Advisors are not intended to replace academic advisors nor faculty advisors.

Benefits: Increased interaction between upperclassmen and underclassmen. Students are able to use the unique expertise and perspective of both student and faculty advisors. Student Advisors are available Monday through Friday in E. Morrow Lebedeff Hall 270.

Activities: Orient students to campus; help students plan class schedules; help students understand catalog and degree requirements; help students develop long range schedules and plans; and, encourage students to take part in activities by making them aware of opportunities.

Advisors: Heidi Bills, Robert Dirk and Connie Eggers
