ISA Officers Description
The President shall
- Preside over all executive meetings and weekly meetings of ISA
- Be the chief spokesperson of ISA
- Make day-to-day decisions to coordinate the activities of ISA
- Be the liaison with ISA’s academic advisor
- In case of opposition to a decision made by the President, the decision will go to vote by the general membership.
The Vice-President shall
- Assume the duties and responsibilities of the President in case of the President’s failure or inability to act
- Help the president coordinate ISA activities
- Be a mediator between the officers
The Secretary shall
- Provide minutes of all meetings by recording the proceedings of ISA
- Maintain adequate and accessible records
- Send reminders for all ISA meetings or events
- Update the Constitution at least every 3 years or each time necessary
- Keep attendance at the meetings
- Keep a list of active members
The Treasurer shall
- Collect membership fees and any other event-related fee over the semester
- Maintain accurate financial records and keep them available for other officers at any time
- Keep a list of paid members
- Make expenditures as authorized by the president with the consent of other ISA officers, and when relevant, ISA members
- Prepare the yearly budget for NDSU Budget Hearing early during the spring Semester
The PRO(s) shall
- Be a liaison with media and other organizations in the promotion of ISA activities and functions
- Coordinate distribution of publicity materials and other promotional devices
- Advise on all publicity and programming procedures as outlined in Public Law 504 and other NDSU guidelines
- Be a liaison with the international associations of MSUM and Concordia, keep updated on their activities and functions, and keep them updated on ours
- Maintain ISA e-mail blister
The CSO shall
- Attend University-wide meetings held by the Congress of Students Organizations
- Be a liaison with the Students Activities Office and Students Government
The Web Master shall
- Update and maintain ISA website regularly.
- Knowledge in Dreamweaver and Photoshop(or any other photo editing software)
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Be creative and open to new ideas.
- Should be able to work on a team.
