Black Hills Spruce

 
  Black Hills Spruce Black Hills Spruce is noted for its dark green foliage and conical form. It has been planted throughout North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Black Hills Spruce prefers heavy soils, adequate moisture and clean cultivation. It will reach a height of six feet in nine years on a good site. Plant Black Hills Spruce eight to twelve feet apart in a windbreak row. Mature height is about 40 feet. Black Hills Spruce is very resistant to winter injury. The nursery offers Black Hills Spruce as bare root or container grown stock and sold in lots of fifty (50).
