NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, Chapter 10
This is North Dakota State University's Phi Kappa Phi
honor society web site. Phi Kappa Phi is not a fraternity
or sorority—it is an honor society. Membership is not
granted to all, but must be earned. Phi Kappa Phi is the equivalent
in land-grant universities like ours of Phi Beta Kappa. While that
organization is open to liberal arts students, the land-grant
spirit of Phi Kappa Phi emphasizes the equivalence of all
disciplines. That is, whether you are a liberal arts major, an
engineering major, a business major, or in fact any major, you are
eligible for membership in Phi Kappa Phi. Nomination a real mark of
achievement, and offers a number of benefits. In addition to this
recognition for superior academic performance, members may apply
for a variety of scholarships, fellowships, study abroad awards and
internship grants. Affiliation with members around the world offers
opportunities for leadership and networking. As well, The Phi
Kappa Phi Forum, PKP's magazine, offers fascinating reading,
insights into social, cultural and scientific issues you won't find
anywhere else.
Note: membership in Phi Kappa Phi is the only honor society designation that will appear on your university transcript.
