Faculty+Facilities

expanding

NDSU's main campus covers about 41 square blocks and includes more than 100 major buildings.

NDSU renovated a historic building in downtown Fargo in 2004. It is home to art, architecture and landscape architecture classes and includes a gallery, studios and an outdoor sculpture area.

Two additional renovated downtown buildings are adding to NDSU's community presence. Klai Hall, opened in fall 2008, holds additional architecture and landscape architecture classroom and studio spaces and also includes an architecture library and office space for faculty. Barry Hall, still under construction, will house the College of Business and the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics. It will be the third-largest building at NDSU and will open for classes the fall of 2009.

A second Living Learning Center is now open. The building offers apartment-style upper-class student living quarters as well as classroom space.

Located on the main floor of the Memorial Union, Bison Connection opened in 2007 to serve as a one-stop service center for students to conduct multiple transactions in one location. Staff can assist students with registering for classes, paying tuition and fees and can answer financial aid and loan questions. Bison Connection offers expanded weekly and weekend hours during the academic year.

The NDSU Research and Technology Park continues to grow. Here, faculty and students work together with professionals from private industry to make new discoveries and developments in a wide range of disciplines.

Our student to FACULTY ratio is 19:1. Approximately 600 faculty members teach at NDSU; 76 percent have the highest degrees in their fields.

More than 80 percent of our CLASSES have fewer than 40 students. Your interactions with faculty and classmates will teach you about working with others and will help you build relationships.
