A NOTE ON FOOD : In order to have a better supply of necessary fixings for lunches, we would ask that you mark a selection for Friday's lunch and check the space on the Saturday lunch if you prefer to have a vegetarian selection. We will then make arrangements so that we have vegetarian meals for all who order them. In addition, if you have any special dietary concerns or allergies, please let us know in advance. In most cases, we can make arrangements to meet your needs but since we are working with a catered food situation, these arrangements are difficult to make after the conference has begun.
A WORD TO THE WISE: PLEASE register and order your lunches in advance. There are few lunch places near the Alumni Center (See below under the "Other Options") and again, since we are having food catered, we cannot order extra food the day of the luncheon. In the past, we have ordered a few extra lunches, but we have not always been able to accommodate everyone.
TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE ALUMNI CENTER
There will be a free Conference shuttle service from the Radisson Hotel each day before the first morning session and return service from the Alumni Center following the last afternoon session, the banquet and the Keynote Lecture. We cannot provide shuttle service to and from the hotel at other times during the day. During the day, there are a number of possibilities if you wish to return to the hotel. There is a free NDSU shuttle on weekdays which runs every 30 minutes and stops near the hotel (at the Downtown Campus or the Downtown Transportation Center). There are also two city bus routes that run every 30 minutes 7 days a week and stop near the hotel and the Alumni Center. The Radisson Hotel is a little over a mile from the Alumni Center and a fairly easy (flat) walk is you desire, weather permitting. There are also taxis and city busses. Information on these options will be included in the registration packet you will receive upon arrival.
PARKING:
If you will be driving to the Conference or renting a car while here, you will need a campus parking permit for the Friday sessions (On Friday after 4:40 pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday, all university lots, including the ones by the Alumni Center are open to all - no permit needed). Please let us know in advance if you will need a permit for Friday. We will send it to you in advance of the Conference so that you have no problems parking. We do not know at this time which lot we will be assigned; it may be a short walk from the Alumni Center. If you need handicapped parking or other special accommodations, please let us know as soon as possible.
