Monthly Meetings
  • Monthly meetings of the Staff Senate are open to all staff.
  • The agenda generally includes a guest speaker, committee reports, and discussion of current issues.
  • Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Refer to the meeting information page for location and agenda.
Campus Kudos
  • An ongoing awards program recognizing students, staff and faculty for contributing to NDSU success.
  • Award recipients are recognized in the Messenger newsletter; in a picture display hanging in the FLC/Memorial Union tunnel; and on the Campus Kudos Recipients page.
  • To submit a nomination, go to the Campus Kudos page.
Messenger Newsletter
  • The Messenger newsletter serves to inform the NDSU community about staff activities and awards.
  • Published three times each academic year (September, December and March), the Messenger is available both in print and on the Messenger page of this site.

Staff Senate Nominations Sought
The NDSU Staff Senate is seeking nominations for its upcoming spring election. Nominations will be accepted March 10-28, while voting is scheduled for April 7-11.
 
2008-2009 Staff Senate Scholarships Available
The NDSU Staff Senate offers scholarships to eligible NDSU broad banded staff, and to children of broad banded staff. The application deadline for ether of these scholarships is Friday, April 4, 2008.

To be eligible, broad banded staff applicants must be NDSU employees and have been employed for at least one year as of the application deadline, be properly enrolled, with a minimum of three undergraduate or two graduate credits at the time of application and at the time of the award disbursement. Applicants must have earned a minimum of 9 undergraduate and 6 graduate credits at NDSU with a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average. Broad banded staff scholarships awards are $200.

Eligible children must be a child of broad banded staff members presently employed by NDSU for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline, be properly enrolled at least half-time with a minimum of 6 credits per semester at NDSU with a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and be enrolled as an undergraduate student. Applicants may not have earned a bachelor's degree. The maximum scholarship amount is $300.

The scholarship committee will select the recipients prior to the 2008 fall semester. Dispersal of funds for children of broad banded staff will be in equal installments at the beginning of fall and spring semesters. Dispersal for broad banded staff will be at the beginning of the fall semester.

Valentine's Day Troop Drive
Was held through out the month of December 2004 raised 167 pounds of items for care packages to be shipped to the troops in time for Valentines Day.
 
Holiday Blood Drive
The Staff Senate Holiday Blood Drive was held on December 1-3, 2004.
We had 50 donors and collected 54 units of blood.
 
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Staff Senate rang the bell outside the Memorial Union on December 14, 2004 and raised $469.00.
This money raised stays 100% in the F-M area and goes to feed people in need.
 
Change - Why Me?
