Goal: To provide a confidential setting in which students, faculty and staff may explore concerns of a personal, academic or career-related nature.

Appointments may be scheduled in person at Ceres 212 or by phone at 231-7671.

Counseling Center Services

Career Center

The Career Center is available for students, faculty and staff. It includes a career library and a computer with interactive capability to assist students with career issues.

The Career Center is located in Ceres 212 and is available daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Staff is available to assist students in their work with the Career Center.


Self Growth Classes

Self growth classes in study skills, career planning,and interpersonal relationships are available. These courses are listed under Education in the term schedule, and carry one credit.


Services for Students with Disabilities

1. Staff: The coordinator, a learning disability specialist, a technical coordinator, and student assistants work together with faculty and staff to ensure that students have support and access to campus programs and facilities.

2. This office, located in the Center for Student Counseling and Personal Growth office at Ceres 212, will provide individual counseling to assist in identifying physical, learning and/or emotional disabilities that may hinder academic performance.

3. Students may consult with the staff regarding accommodation of disabilities related to the selection, scheduling and location of courses. Priority registration is available for students who need to obtain recorded textbooks or who require consideration for medical or learning disabilities.
