NDSU provides free nightlife options

NDSU provides many free, late-night campus activities for students on Friday and Saturday nights.

Friday nights: MU Live

  • Free bowling and billiards at the Memorial Union Recreation Center 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
  • 9:30 p.m. movie at Memorial Union Century Theater.
  • Weekly special event, such as grocery bag bingo, karaoke or game night, at Memorial Union.

Saturday nights: Campus Live

  • Free bowling and billiards at the Memorial Union Recreation Center 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
  • 9:30 p.m. movie at Memorial Union Century Theater.
  • Extended hours at the Wallman Wellness Center, which is open until 1 a.m.
  • Club NDSU, a monthly special event that features a DJ playing music to dance to, free food and beverages, door prizes and a video game lounge on the lower level of Memorial Union.
  • Special events such as the recent Gladiator Night, which was based on the TV show “American Gladiators,” where students pitted their skills against those of wellness center staff members. Location varies.

Upcoming Campus Live events

  • Saturday, Sept. 10: Club NDSU, 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m., lower level of Memorial Union.
  • Saturday, Sept. 17: Blacklight Underground—five DJs playing music, including house music and dub-step, in one night—9:30 p.m.-1 a.m., lower level of Memorial Union.
