Materials and nanotechnology forum scheduled for June 9
Researchers across campus will showcase their projects at the Summer Forum on Materials and Nanotechnology scheduled for Thursday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at NDSUs Reineke Fine Arts Center. The forum is free to attend.
Faculty members, research assistants and graduate and undergraduate students are invited to attend the event which will feature more than 25 interdisciplinary presenters from NDSU, Texas A&M University and Tecton Products in Fargo.
The forum was planned to spur collaboration. NDSU has grown so quickly as a research university that it can be challenging at times for faculty and researchers working in related but traditionally distinct fields to find areas of common interest, said Erik Hobbie, director of the materials and nanotechnology interdisciplinary program. This type of event provides a setting for doing this, with the hope that it will foster larger, higher impact collaborations and grants.
