Activities planned for National Day on Writing
NDSU will participate in the National Day on Writing, an annual event organized by the National Council of Teachers of English, on Oct. 20. Information on the event can be found at www.ncte.org/dayonwriting. The celebration at NDSU includes the following events:
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – “Rotating Story,” Facebook and Thundar’s Den, Memorial Union
The Department of English will sponsor an “exquisite corpse,” or rotating story, on the NDSU Facebook page, with a new story started every hour by students in first-year English classes. Students, faculty and staff are invited to contribute to the story on NDSU’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ndsu.fargo. Individuals also are invited to view the story projected on a wall in Thundar’s Den, lower level of the Memorial Union. For more information, contact Brandi Fuglsby, English lecturer, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – “Resources for Writers,” Memorial Union lobby
Staff from the Center for Writers and the NDSU Library will be available in the Memorial Union lobby from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide information about their services.
