The NDSU Student Affairs Assessment website has been featured by the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment. The institute’s featured websites identify promising practices in innovative and transparent online communication of student learning outcomes assessment.

The Office of Student Affairs Assessment at NDSU was created in 2013 and supports assessment efforts in the Division of Student Affairs.

The institute is featuring the site at www.learningoutcomeassessment.org for its creativity, communication and centralized assessment repository. A summary regarding the selection process said the NDSU website features videos, reports and graphics designed to provide assessment data to many audiences.

“On the assessment resources page, site visitors can view a short video introducing student affairs assessment activities at NDSU, as well as links to video tutorials on using Excel to analyze data and create charts, creating and using rubrics and writing surveys,” the summary stated, while also noting users can find student learning and persistence reports, a list of external resources, internal assessment resources such as a Student Success Programs Report, current NDSU assessment projects and presentations and worksheets from an NDSU’s staff development project called Student Affairs Assessment Academy.

“Due to its inspired use of video tutorials and infographics to clearly communicate student affairs assessment data and its ample array of internal and external student affairs assessment resources, NDSU’s student affairs assessment website is this month’s featured website in the categories of Communication, Creativity and Centralized Assessment Repository," the summary concluded.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
