NDSU research administrator named

The Office for Research and Creative Activity has announced Jolynne Tschetter was named executive director for corporate and foundation research relations. She joins the business development and industrial relations team in the office to build research relationships and sponsorship opportunities with foundations and business partners interested in accessing research expertise at NDSU.

She is scheduled to join NDSU on Nov. 3.

Since 2008, Tschetter has served as the commercialization manager for the North Dakota Department of Commerce. In this capacity, she managed Research North Dakota, a research and development grant program focused on public/private partnerships. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota, and a doctorate in veterinary science from Washington State University, Pullman.

Tschetter’s professional background also includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute; research positions at a start-up biotechnology company and at a large pharmaceutical company; a research assistant professor position at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
