NDSU Information Technology hires two

The NDSU Information Technology Division has hired two new employees. 

Lisa Benz joined the Telecommunications and Emergency Support Technologies Department as a telecommunications analyst. Benz supports a wide range of centralized, full-service unified communications, including voice networks, Voice over IP, cellular and mobile communications, call management, transport facilities infrastructure, video surveillance, card access, cable television and emergency support technologies.

Benz has nine years of prior experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently with AT&T Mobility in Fargo. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from NDSU.

Mark Peterson joined the Enterprise Computing and Infrastructure Department as a system administrator. He provides programming, design, testing, documentation and management for centrally-deployed systems and applications at NDSU.

Prior to coming to NDSU, Peterson worked as a scripting consultant with Expedia. Before that, he worked for Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington, and at Boeing Company in Bellevue, Washington. He has an associate of applied science degree in electronics from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Capella University in Minneapolis.
