EunSu Lee, an associate research fellow for the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute, will present “Designing Service Coverage and Measuring Accessibility and Serviceability.” The study proposes a novel approach to analyzing potential accessibility to ambulance services.

Luke Holt, a transportation planning analyst with the institute and a transportation and logistics doctoral student, will present “Dynamic Routing Model for Large Urban Lab Collection Networks.” The study presents a large-scale lab specimen collection network involving hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities.

Fesseha Gebremikael, a transportation and logistics doctoral student, will present “An Agriculture Feed Processing Supply Chain Modeling.” The study focuses on risk management for an agricultural firm that produces and sells transformed products.

Yasaman Kazemi, a transportation and logistics doctoral student, will present “Modeling the Petroleum Supply Chain under Disruption and Mitigation Strategies.” A three-echelon supply chain model for the downstream petroleum industry is proposed to study facility failures due to disruptions and select appropriate mitigation and coping strategies.

Yong Shin Park, a transportation and logistics doctoral student, will present “Life Cycle Based Environmental Impact Intensity Assessment of National Freight Transportation.” In the study, the U.S. manufacturing and transportation industries’ nexus will be addressed from life-cycle perspective. The main objective is to determine the environmental impact intensity scores of four major transportation modes, including truck, rail, air and water.

INFORMS is the world’s largest professional society for professionals in the field of operations research, management science, and analytics. With nearly 4,000 papers presented in more than 1,000 sessions, the INFORMS meeting brings together experts from academia, industry and government to consider a broad range of operations research, management science and analytics research and applications.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
