Comedian, writer and actor Robin Cloud is scheduled to present “Accept yourself before you wreck yourself: A humorous guide to living out loud” Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the NDSU McGovern Alumni Center Atrium. Her appearance is in conjunction with LGBTQ Pride Month at NDSU.

Combining humor with personal experience, Cloud will explore the power and freedom she gained when she bravely came out as a teenager. She will enlighten the audience about the LGBTQ experience and inspire them to transform fears into acts of courage.

Her talk will be followed by “Comedy by Cloud,” scheduled for 8 p.m. to 8:40 p.m., also in the McGovern Alumni Center Atrium.

Cloud is the host and producer of the critically acclaimed live comedy show, “The Triple Minority Report,” which draws large crowds at New York’s comedy clubs. She is noted for her sassy, politically charged delivery and her on-point character work.

She has been featured in GO magazine’s “Top 100 Women We Love,” Time Out New York’s “Quote of the Week”, and was a semi-finalist in NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity Competition.” More information about Cloud is available at http://robincloudcomedy.com/.

Cloud’s presentation is sponsored by LGBTQ Programs and the NDSU Equity and Diversity Center, with support from an NDSU Cooperative Sponsorship Grant.
