Physician, nurse practitioner join Student Health Service

Dr. Marit Hordvik has joined the Student Health Service and Vicky Pizzey has been hired as a nurse practitioner.

Hordvik earned a bachelor's degree in biology from NDSU and her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Grand Forks. She completed her residency in family practice. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has more than 20 years of health care experience in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Pizzey earned an associate degree in nursing from NDSU and a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Saskatchewan. She earned a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from UND. She has more than 15 years experience in public health nursing and experience in a primary care center.

The Student Health Service supports academic success in an atmosphere of health and wellness through education and services. The services provided blend health promotion, education for prevention of disease and clinical treatment for illness.
