Statistical genomicist joins NDSU faculty

Xuehui Li has joined the NDSU plant sciences department as an assistant professor and statistical genomics project leader. Prior to NDSU, Li was a research scientist in the Forage Improvement Division at the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Li earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in agronomy at China Agricultural University, Beijing; a master's degree in statistics at Iowa State University; and his doctorate in plant breeding, genetics and genomics at the University of Georgia.



The focus of the statistical genomics research program is to develop and implement genomic approaches to understand and improve traits in wheat and other crops grown in the Northern Great Plains.
