NDSU Provost Beth Ingram has announced two interim leadership appointments. Paul Kelter, professor and head of the Center for Science and Mathematics Education, will serve as interim director of NDSU Distance and Continuing Education and Emily Berg has been named interim director for the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis. Berg is the office's assistant director.

“I’m delighted Dr. Kelter has agreed to take on this important role," Ingram said. "He will provide superb leadership as we work to create a strong distance and continuing education unit that serves NDSU and the state of North Dakota.”

Ingram said a search for a new Distance and Continuing Education director is expected to begin this summer.

Ingram also said a search has begun for the leadership post in the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis. “Ms. Berg will provide expert leadership and continuity during the search for a permanent director for the office,” she said.

The search committee is chaired by Marc Wallman, vice president for information technology. Other search committee members include Samee Khan, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering; Mark Hanson, research analyst in the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis; David Buchanan, associate dean for agriculture; and Rhonda Kitch, registrar.
