Three candidates for dean of the College of Human Development and Education will be at NDSU in the coming weeks, and each will present an open forum while on campus.

Jane E. Hegland from South Dakota State University, Brookings, will be here April 30-May 1. She is associate dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences, and professor and department head of consumer sciences.

Jan Bowers will be on campus May 6-7.  She is the dean of the School of Education and Human Ecology at State University of New York at Oneonta.

Rodney C. Runyan will visit NDSU May 11-12. He is a professor and the director of the School of Family and Consumer Sciences at Texas State University, San Marcos.

“The search committee has identified three excellent candidates for the HDE dean position,” said Charles Peterson, search committee chair and dean of the College of Health Professions. “Each has very strong academic credentials and administrative experience and is very excited about the possibility of becoming the new dean for the NDSU College of Human Development and Education.”

Specific interview schedules, including dates, times, and locations of the open forums, will be announced as they are available.
