Horvik to direct ‘Murderers’ with Theatre B

Lori Horvik, assistant professor of theatre, and Thomas Bumblauskas, guest designer, are working on Theatre B’s production of “Murderers,” a collection of three comic monologues about revenge, blackmail, money and jealousy.

Horvik will direct the first monologue titled “The Man Who Married His Mother-in-Law,” in which character Gerald Halverson confesses his elicit love affair and a plan to hide $5 million from the IRS. His plan is running smoothly until a surprise twist throws a wrench into his plans … unless he can pull off the perfect murder. Horvik also is the sound designer for the other two monologues.

Bumblauskas is a guest artist in residence at NDSU Theatre this semester. He designed the set for the current Little Country Theatre production, “Iphigenia at Aulis,” in addition to the set for “Murderers.”

“Murderers” runs Nov. 20-22, Nov. 27-29, Dec. 4-6, Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 18-20 at Main Avenue Theatre, 716 Main Ave., Fargo. For tickets, call (701) 729-8880.
