Two join Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach staff

Amy Ochoa and Diane Pochardt have joined the staff of the Office of Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach.

Ochoa was named assistant to the vice president as of June 1. She formerly was an account assistant at the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering from 2006-10. Other previous NDSU positions include administrative assistant for the Office of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, administrative assistant for the Offices of Equal Opportunity and General Counsel, administrative secretary for the Departments of History, Religion, Philosophy and Political Science and administrative secretary for the Office of Vice President for Student Affairs. Ochoa lives in Fargo with her husband, Fernando, and daughter, Jordan.

Pochardt is the new office assistant as of June 7. Most recently she was an academic assistant in the Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences. She is responsible for the department's website, newsletters and informing international alumni about NDSU activities as well as providing support to the associate vice president for international programs and the Equal Opportunity specialist. She and her husband, Bryan, live in Fargo. They have two children.
