Bresciani expands cabinet to emphasize students and communication

North Dakota State University President Dean L. Bresciani announced he has added Kevin Black, NDSU student body president, and Laura McDaniel, assistant vice president of university relations, to his cabinet.

"For the first time in NDSU's history, students will have direct representation within university administration," said Bresciani. "Kevin was asked to join the cabinet to assure that all the voices of the university community are at the table."

McDaniel has been with university relations since 1989 and was named assistant vice president in 2008.

"I would like to see more emphasis on communicating with the people we serve across North Dakota. Adding McDaniel to the cabinet will help us achieve that," said Bresciani.

Bresciani said he will continue to evaluate and consider the representativeness and balance of the cabinet.

The president's cabinet includes 12 other NDSU administrators. The list can be found at www.ndsu.edu/president/cabinet/
