Student body president links NDSU and Roosevelt Neighborhood Association

NDSU President Dean L. Bresciani has named Kevin Black, student body president, as liaison between the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association and the president's office. Black's role will be to provide direct communication between the university and its neighbors.

"I think this is a fantastic way to strengthen our bonds with the community and surrounding neighborhood," Black said. "I look forward to building an even stronger working relationship with the association."

Bresciani recently met with representatives of the association to discuss a variety of topics. According to Bresciani, one request was a formal liaison to the president's office so they could share perspectives and work on issues. He said student government is already involved in Roosevelt Neighborhood Association activities, so Black's appointment was a natural and direct course to take.

"Student government's established relationship with the Roosevelt Neighborhood coupled with Kevin's involvement on the president's cabinet will facilitate communication between university administration and the association," said Bresciani.
