SHARE

The NDSU Art Cinema Series, a partnership with the NDSU Department of Visual Arts and the Fargo Theatre, continues in November with the showing of “Last Year at Marienbad.” The film will run one night only, Monday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Fargo Theatre. Tickets are $5 each.

“Last Year at Marienbad” (1961) is an intriguing story that takes place in a huge, old-fashioned luxury hotel in which a stranger tries to persuade a married woman to run away with him, but it seems she hardly remembers the affair they may have had the previous year at Marienbad. It is filmed in black and white and in French with English subtitles.

The NDSU Art Cinema Series presents intelligent and unique films at the Fargo Theatre. Future films include:

Dec. 6         “Goya’s Ghosts”
Feb. 7         “The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum”
April 4         “Exit Through the Gift Shop”
May 2         “Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman”
