North Dakota State University President Dean L. Bresciani announced his plans to add a representative from both the faculty and staff senates to his cabinet. Bresciani asked the presidents of each senate to nominate three members of their respective executive committees for consideration.

“As we start forming the future strategic direction of NDSU, I anticipate an increasing range of critical discussions,” wrote Bresciani in a letter to Amy Rupiper Taggart, president of faculty senate, and Kris Mickleson, president of staff senate. “I believe that faculty and staff association representation is critical to those discussions and I am ready to add a representative from both the faculty and staff senate.”

Staff and faculty representatives will serve a term of one academic year. The representatives chosen for this year will serve a half-year appointment.

Bresciani has asked Rupiper Taggart and Mickleson to forward their nominations by the end of the fall term. The new representatives will join the Jan. 13, 2011, cabinet meeting.
