Quick thinking after NDSU School of Nursing Kenya trip cancelled

When the NDSU School of Nursing had to cancel a trip for 17 students due to the unrest in Kenya, Molly Secor-Turner, assistant professor of nursing, and her mother, Sharon Secor flew into action. Within a week, they created a 19-day trip to Malawi and took care of all the details. The trip to Kenya is an annual event that nursing students can use to fulfill the capstone requirements for their degrees. This group will be completing their clinical rotations at Nkhoma Mission Hospital in the rural city of Nkhoma, about two hours from the capitol city of Lilongwe, Malawi. They will continue their annual service project in rural Malawi to educate girls and provide them personal hygiene products. #StudentFocused
