Michael began his professional career at Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis Minnesota, where he worked as a carpenter before moving on to stage-managing and acting in Honeymoon China, The Impresario and The Three Musketeers. He also toured with the company to the La Jolla Playhouse acting in their production of Yang Zen Frogs. His most recent acting roles are as Theseus in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and as the Cheshire Cat in an original production of Alice in Wonderland titled Alice Wonders.
Over the last three years Michael has directed Mary’s Wedding, The Gigli Concert, a site specific production of The Winter’s Tale, How the Other Half Loves and an original adaptation of Medea with composer Ian Sturges Milliken as their terminal project at Purdue University. This spring Michael will be directing Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them by Christopher Durang.
