Sean Scott

For the last twenty years, working with clay has been a primary endeavor in Sean's life. His love for ceramics began while attending Sinclair Community College in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Ultimately he went on to earn a B.F.A. from Ohio University in 1996 and an M.F.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005. For the last four years Sean and his wife Kate, have operated Pomme de Terre Pottery in rural west central Minnesota. He shows and sells his work nationally and teaches workshops for all skill levels. See more at pommedeterrepottery.com and become a fan of Pomme de Terre Pottery on Facebook.

Amy Smith

Smith first worked in clay as a B.F.A. candidate at Ohio University, Athens. Following graduation she apprenticed for Kaleidoscope Pottery in Easthampton, Massachusetts. She earned her M.F.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Amy works intuitively in porcelain; her open forms gently hold space. She lines fluid glazes over carved surfaces encouraging them to break, run and pool. Viewers describe her porcelain vessels as serene, elegant, and poignant.
