This Website has been developed to educate the NDSU Community on tobacco related issues. This website includes a General History on the Policy and Smoking Cessation Options for the NDSU Community. Forthcoming will be research and policy related materials on tobacco and nicotine.
With the NDSU Student Senate, Staff Sentate, and University Senate supporting Policy 153 "A Smoke-Free Campus," President Richard Hanson signed the policy on December 18, 2009, to take effect March 1, 2010. In the months leading up to and since the President's signing of the policy, the Tobacco Project Committee has been working behind the scenes to steer the process of implementing this policy and ensure a successful transition.
The Smoke-Free Facilities policy will be effective March 1st, 2010, see policy for details.
