Welcome to the Thrifty White Concept Pharmacy

Incorporated as a curriculum requirement for all graduates of the professional program, the Thrifty White Concept Pharmacy is designed to create a unique and innovative educational environment.  The Thrifty White Concept Pharmacy is a licensed pharmacy which integrates all the features of contemporary community and institutional pharmacy practice.  It houses the latest in drug distribution systems including ScriptPro and Parata Max and pharmacy technology such as telepharmacy.  Students experience and understand the roles of a pharmacist in various health care settings.  They utilize drug information to dispense and counsel on prescription and nonprescription medications, prepare low and medium risk compounded sterile preparations, and compound nonsterile preparations.  Students practice long term care and disease state management using electronic medical records, and perform medication therapy management for the faculty and staff of North Dakota State University.
