The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North Dakota State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, with appointment beginning on or after August 15, 2010. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in pharmacology, physiology, or closely related field, have at least two years of postdoctoral experience with a strong record of scholarship, and possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants with training and research expertise in areas that complement existing departmental strengths in cancer, cardiovascular, and vaccine research. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, teach and mentor graduate students, and participate in team-taught pharmacology courses offered to pharmacy students. pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics or related fields, and have at
least two years of postdoctoral experience in above areas with a
strong record of research productivity and evidence of ability to
develop/maintain an extramurally funded research program.
Preference will be given to applicants with training and research
expertise in areas of biopharmaceutics or pharmacokinetics/clinical
pharmacokinetics. Candidates should also possess good
interpersonal skills and effective written/oral communication
skills. The candidate will be required to teach a pharmacokinetics
course to students in the professional pharmacy curriculum, as well
as in the graduate program.
