NDSU Nursing Department Receives HRSA Grant
The Department of Nursing recently received notice of a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. Funding is evenly distributed over the grant period of three years with $311,349 received the first year. The purpose of the grant is expansion of the NDSU Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with emphasis on assisting nurses, with master’s degrees in another specialty, complete study leading to the DNP degree and certification as a family nurse practitioner. Dr. Loretta Heuer and Dr. Dean Gross are project directors of this advanced nursing education initiative.
Grandbois Receives Green and Golden Globe Diversity Award
Donna Grandbois was selected by the Tribal College Liaison to receive the Green and Golden Globe Diversity Award on April 27, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. Dr. Grandbois was selected for the award because of all that she has done, and continues to do, to advance the work that is so important to North Dakota State University and to the Division of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach, mainly promoting a campus climate that is open and welcoming to all areas of diversity. Congratulations, Dr. Grandbois!
