Online safety training for employees that work in laboratory spaces is contained in the following 7 modules. Principal investigators and those in charge of laboratory operations need to complete all seven whereas employees within the laboratory spaces need to complete just the first six. Once the modules and review sheets are completed, please submit the review forms to the Safety Office for proper documentation of the completed training.

This module contains information about general laboratory safety issues and how to identify hazards in the workspace.
Module 2: Waste Handling

Module 3: Fire and Electrical Safety
This module contains information on fire and electrical hazards and gives the worker information that will help them respond to dangerous situations.
Module 4: Radiation Safety Topics
This module contains basic radiation safety information and is designed to give a brief overview of this topic. Additional training requirements must be met if an employee will be actively working with radioactive material.
Module 5: Biohazard Topics
This module contains basic information on biohazards and biosafety awareness for those laboratories dealing with infectious substances. Additional training requirements must be met for those employees who work with Bloodborne Pathogens. See the links earlier in this page for this training and quiz.
