SECTION 105: APPLICANT FLOW INFORMATION
SOURCE: NDSU President
- Applicant flow cards are used for all positions. These cards provide important
information about the diversity of the applicant pool and the effectiveness of various recruitment
methods.
- In the case of positions for which applications are sent directly to the employing
department, the department should send a card and a postage-paid pre-addressed envelope to
each applicant with a letter acknowledging receipt of the application. (Cards and envelopes are
sent to the department when the Request to Recruit is signed.) Please keep or return extra cards
and envelopes.
In the case of positions for which applications are sent to the Human Resources/Payroll
Office, that office will acknowledge receipt of the application and include
a card and envelope.
- After the closing date for applications, a summary of the applicant information
is compiled and becomes a part of the transaction file. A copy is available
to the department upon request. At the end of the fiscal year these summaries
are compiled into a report which shows the overall applicant pool by college
(for academic or administrative positions) or type of position (for broadbanded
staff positions).
