    SECTION 604: Jurisdiction of the Vice President for Student Affairs -
      Student Behavior Code Violations
    SOURCE: NDSU President

    1. The Vice President for Student Affairs, pursuant to delegated authority from the President, has responsibility for supervision of the process of handling the University's response to student violations of University rules and regulations, including the ultimate imposition of sanctions. All student non-academic behavior that violates university rules and regulations and behavior occurring off-campus which affects the university is considered a responsibility of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

     2. This authority includes the overall supervision of the various administrative committees and boards charged with hearing complaints against students or student organizations for violation of those rules and regulations.

     3. Student organizations and university employees are required to inform the Vice President for Student Affairs whenever action is deemed necessary against a student or student organization which may involve the following committees or boards:
     

      1. Code of Student Behavior Complaint Resolution Board;

      2. Student Government Court;

      3. Residential Life Conduct Review Board;

      4. Inter-Fraternity Standards Board;

      5. Panhellenic Standards Board.
