Fianancial Aid + Scholarships

Should you feel that financial aid is necessary to attend NDSU, we encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal FAFSA. The FAFSA may be completed online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov or you may complete the paper version. Forms are available after January 1 but should be completed by mid-February. Use NDSU's Institution Title IV Code, 002997.

You must first apply for admission to be considered for financial aid at NDSU. It is not necessary to wait for the entire process to be complete. You must simply submit an application.

Financial aid is typically met through a combination of loans, grants and work study. Should you have specific questions, contact the Office of Student Financial Services at 701-231-7533 or 800-726-3188.

The NDSU Transfer award is available both spring and fall semesters to transfer students demonstrating excellent academic achievement. The deadlines for the $500 scholarships are December 1 for the following spring semester and April 1 for following fall semester. Minimum qualifications do not automatically qualify students as the application pool may vary from year to year. Applications and information on departmental scholarships are available from the Office of Admission.

More detailed information about financial aid is available by calling the Office of Student Financial Services at 701-231-7533 or 800-726-3188, or online at www.ndsu.edu/bisonconnection/finaid.
