Transfer Tips
plan ahead
ADVANCED PLANNING IS CRITICAL IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE TRANSFERRING TO NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY. TO HELP YOU HAVE A SUCCESSFUL TRANSFER TO NDSU, WE SUGGEST YOU:
1. Discuss transferring with a counselor/faculty member at your home school in order to take appropriate transfer courses.
2. Become familiar with program requirements. Request a fact sheet for your intended major from the Office of Admission. You may want to review program requirements at www.ndsu.edu/majors.
3. Arrange a campus visit to meet with an admission representative and with a faculty member in the department you plan to enter for a transcript evaluation and information about NDSU's programs and services (be sure to bring your home school transcript and college catalog). We can help with course selection at your home institution in the semesters leading to your transfer to NDSU.
