Danielson and Wallenborn win people's choice award for HDE poster

Ramona Danielson, MPH Research Analyst, and Jordyn Wallenborn, MPH graduate, received a  People's Choices award for their poster titled:  Health Disparities Among American Indians in North Dakota Begin Prenatally: Risk Factors and Birth Outcomes at the HDE Research Showcase 2014.

Other winners:

Student's Choice Award—This award is given by the HDE Graduate Student Advisory Council

Winner: Courage Mudzongo and Brandy Randall for their poster entitled “Missionaries’ Perspective of Short Term Mission Trip Participation”

Research Showcase Poster Awards—These awards are based on posters reviewed by the College Research Committee.

Undergraduate Winner:  

Krystal Kalliokoski, Selvakumar Sermadurai, Rajendran Saravana Kumar, Mukund Sibi for their poster entitled “Synthesis of Monomers from Hydroxymethyl Furfural and Furan Dicarboxylic Acid”

Graduate Winner:  

Maegan Jones and Beth Blodgett Salafia for their poster entitled “Parental Relationship Quality as a Predictor of Adolescent Girls’ and Boys’ Bulimic Symptoms” 

Honorable Mention was awarded to: 

Christina Smestad and Beth Blodgett Salafia for their poster entitled “The Relationships Between Dating and Body Image in Adolescence”

and

Erika Beseler Thompson for her poster entitled “Academic Collegiate Enhancement: The Impact of Group-Faciltiated Peer Tutoring on Undergraduate Student Academic Achievement”
